Strategy FAQ

Heikin-Ashi Color (HA)

What is the Heikin-Ashi Color rule?

Two closed Heikin-Ashi candles of the same color confirm. The first opposite-color close exits. Quiet until the next two-bar confirm. It uses closed bars only, so it doesn't repaint.

When does HA signal a long?

Two green HA candles close. Buy the next bar's open. If you take it today, the confirming close is yesterday's close.

When does HA signal a short?

Two red HA candles close. Short the next bar's open. First green HA close covers it.

What kind of market is HA built for?

Trends. A single color change is an exit, not a reverse, so it stays quiet in chop.

When does 3/9X signal a short?

Fast intraday momentum. Very active, so expect lots of signals.

Parabolic SAR (SAR)

Price flips below the SAR dots.

What kind of market is SAR built for?

Clean trends. Whipsaws hard in a range.

The 9 EMA crosses above the 21 EMA.

When does 9/21X signal a short?

RSI(2) drops below 10.

When does RSI2 signal a short?

RSI(2) rises above 90.

What kind of market is RSI2 built for?

6F Heikin-Ashi (6F)

What is the 6F Heikin-Ashi rule?

Heikin-Ashi candles smooth out the noise. The 'C candle' is the last candle where the color flipped. A break of that candle's high or low is the signal.

What kind of market is PDHL built for?

When does SQZ signal a short?

Price breaks below the lower band after a squeeze.
